True love is a recurring theme in many Disney movies. Disney Princesses meet their "true love" and get married and live happily ever after. In Cinderella's case, she meets the Prince at the Ball and dances the night away with him and they immediately know they are in love. After hustling to find each other, almost immediately, the next scene of the movie is church bells and a white gown signifying the marriage of Cinderella and her Prince. Another example is Ariel. As a mermaid, Ariel always had a fascination with humans and their behaviors. She stumbles upon a man, Eric, who she sees and falls in love with and is determined to meet him. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and agrees to give up her voice to become human for three days. If she cannot make Eric fall in love with her in three days time, she would return a mermaid and be eternally a slave to Ursula. Eric does end up falling in love with her and they get married.
However, when Anna and Hans decide to get married after knowing each other for less than one day, Elsa tells them very matter-of-fact that "you can't marry a man you just met". This one line alone contradicts everything that Disney has produced thus far based on all of their princesses meeting the love of their life and getting married all in what seems like a few days time.

"For the first time in forever", this Disney princess movie does not end with the princess falling in love with the prince and getting married. Instead, it focusses on true love between two sisters who, although faced with their times of trouble, were always there for each other in the end. Anna, who was willing to sacrifice her life for her sister, demonstrated the act of true love that thawed her heart and created a sisterly bond so strong that allowed Elsa to see that Anna would always be there for her.
